Crisis Center Volunteer Program

Our Crisis Center is located at the agency’s intake, assessment and investigations department at 4071 East Main Street. The needs of the Crisis Center are diverse and our volunteers are there for us in a variety of ways. They clean and sanitize toys, stock shelves and provide childcare and other assistance as directed by appointed staff. Unlike our mentoring programs, crisis volunteers are not matched with a specific child. Instead, volunteers occasionally provide much needed support, interaction and supervision for children when they are brought to intake. In addition, they work to ensure that children who come to the Crisis Center experience a safe, secure and positive environment where their needs are met.

Update: July 8, 2020: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing at our Crisis Center, we are not accepting new applications for crisis center volunteers at this time. If you are interested in volunteering, please consider participating in one of the agency’s mentoring programs.

We appreciate your interest in supporting our agency. To keep up to date on what is happening at FCCS, please consider signing up to receive our e-newsletter Connects and follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
