Volunteers & Mentors

Every kid deserves to know someone is in their corner. Someone they can talk to and seek guidance from.  While traditionally that's the job of parents and other family members, not every child is born into a stable or fully healthy situation.

Our most innocent community members are also our most vulnerable. But you can make a difference. Even by just showing up and listening—letting them know they’re important and cared for—can soothe hurting and doubt. It doesn’t only change their lives for the better. It can change yours too. Many of our volunteers and mentors have shared stories of the emotional and impactful relationships they’ve developed with our youth.

Of course, that’s not the only way to volunteer. Maybe you want to help a high school student prepare for college and their future career. So many teens need that right now.

Perhaps you would find fulfillment assisting staff at our Crisis Department. Many children are caught in heartbreaking scenarios that are no fault of their own, and you can help us provide them with a comforting presence.
