Karen is Vice President for Corporate and Community Health Relations at Nationwide Children’s Hospital,where she is responsible for developing and supporting the delivery of corporate and community wellness, prevention, and education efforts. Karen has and will continue to speak nationally and internationally on family violence prevention and treatment and provides consulting and support to other cities/institutions seeking to initiate and develop family violence intervention and prevention infrastructure across the United States.
Karen served as the first President of the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence (CCAFV)beginning in 1998with a commitment to creating a community culture that does not tolerate family violence. In 2012, Karen was appointed President of The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH) after leading the merger of CCAFV and TCFSH. Karen served in this position until May 2018.
Prior to CCAFV and TCFSH, Karen spent 10 years working in the criminal justice field.
